Glastonbury Seed Swap

Sort your seeds into small packets and label with variety and date. Bring them along to swap at our seed exchange. If you don’t have seeds to swap, please make a donation.
Between 11 and 4pm we will have:
Stalls with local producers, growers, makers.
Talks and workshops in partnership with Somerset Community Food.
Seed sowing and gardening demonstrations.
Positive and inspiring films.
Family friendly activities area.
Plus cake in Three Cheetahs Vegan Cafe.
In the evening we will be having a good old knees up with a Cèilidh, then a DJ to carry us on into the night.

12 noon – Suzanna Van Moyland – GM food: the threats we face.
1pm – Somerset Community Food Project Mapping – drop in, grab a flapjack and put your project on the map. What are you aiming for in the year ahead and what will help you achieve this?
1:45pm – Successful seed sowing – demo and seed saving tips / Q& A (Jane Sweetman).
2:30pm – Q&A planting and caring for fruit trees.
3pm – Glastonbury Growers – find out what small-scale growers in the Glastonbury area are doing to team-up and progress made so far (tbc).
3:30pm Land history with a focus on food (tbc).
4-6pm Film the Need to Grow – inspiring documentary (£1 donation).
