Botanicals & Beers

Our first ever plant swap will be held with Simply Potted inside of the taproom at Southbound Brewery on Jan. 11 from 1-3 PM. Drink beer and swap plants with your fellow plant lovers! Details are below:
– This event is free and open to the public!
– There will be TWO raffles: a potted plant and a pack of beer of choice.
– Register for a FREE raffle ticket. Raffle tickets will also be sold at the door the day of the event for $1 for people that don’t register.
THE DAY OF:
– Get to the brewery early to check in. There will be a table inside.
– There will be a donations jar on the check in table. All proceeds will go to the MetroStar Community Garden in the Starland District.
– You will then receive a ticket for each plant or cutting that you bring. There are 3 tiers of tickets:
RED – Rare/Large
BLUE – Common/Medium
GREEN -Common/Small
– There will be an assigned table for each tier of plant or cutting. Find your table and place your plants accordingly. There will be a jar on each table in which your tickets will be placed when swapping. **THIS IS AN HONOR SYSTEM so please be fair!**
– There are no size regulations for potted plants or cuttings although we do prefer that it is something that can be easily carried or transported.
– ROOTED CUTTINGS ONLY. Please bring your rooted cuttings in a cup of water or with roots wrapped generously in a wet paper towel.
– If you are unsure of the species or common name of your plant, please do your best to find out before the event. There will be tags in which you may write your plant species or common names on.
